  • 1 lb frozen peas
  • 5 tbsp salted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • ½ tbsp minced shallot
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh grated parmesan as garnish

Instructions

  • Heat a deep skillet over medium heat. Add butter. Once melted add minced garlic and shallot. Cook for 1 minute.

  • Next, add the frozen peas. Stir and cook 5 minutes

  • Sprinkle the flour over the peas. Mix well, and cook for 2 minutes.

  • Pour in the whole milk and cream. Once fully incorporated, stir and cook until it starts bubbling, then lower heat to simmer.

  • Mix in the salt, pepper, and garlic powder and cook for 5 more minutes to thicken.
