General
Children of Gaia usually work to understand the greater mystery of Gaia, which makes them often drawn to the Umbra. Existential questions, such as those about the nature of werewolf service to Gaia, define the tribe and its pursuit of knowledge. The Children of Gaia also frequently see themselves as the conscience that must accompany Garou's Rage, as without this conscience the Garou would be left to be monsters that the world sees when Delirium falters. This does not mean that they are pacifists - instead, they usually view Rage as a force of nature, like a hurricane or a flood - one that can destroy, but such destruction might have positive effects in the end to the balance of the world, and to Gaia herself.
While in play, Children of Gaia often discover secrets and legends of legendary Garou, discern the true nature of things and spirits, heal the injuries others suffer, and puzzle out solutions to mystical riddles and existential questions.
They are usually the ones to raise questions others might not think of asking, like "why?" or "to what end?". Above all else, they seek to find understanding and fully grasp the world around them. Everything could be of a potential interest to a Child of Gaia, especially things that cannot be simply explained: why does an unpopular politician suddenly gain traction? How to navigate the spirit world? They want to first understand the true nature of things around them, and only then act.
Garou who do not understand the Children of Gaia might see them as harmless or even un-werewolf-like. But to the Children of Gaia, the purpose of their endless answer-seeking is to fix an immediate problem others Garou try to solve in ways they perceive as more direct.[1]

Example archetypes
Sawbones: Sawbones patch people up on the fly, and if you need one you know where they are. The Sawbones know how to keep their mouth shut and that secrecy keeps them in business. That secrecy is appreciated by both the patients and the Sawbones, as they tend to practice based on intuition and spiritual bargaining instead of traditional medical science. [2]
Dealer: People are always looking to expand their horizons and the Dealer can help with it. Letting people into their own personal mystery-world, they'll form a relationship that will keep any secret safe, including what they find on the Other Side. [2]
Wayfarer: The Wayfarer makes many journeys, both in the physical and not. They travel where others may not, finding something new to discover and travel between the worlds where something greets them on the other side. [2]
Miner: It's backbreaking work, but it's worth it to the Miner. They dig deep into the earth to uncover things once lost, and these mysteries are brought back to their pack and in turn brought back to awareness of the Garou. [2]
