The official Rotten Tomatoes rating for the Star Wars series Andor is the highest in the franchise since The Mandalorian.

Andor is MASTERCLASS storytelling for adults who grew up with Star Wars. Each episode is better than the last I kid you not by episode 5 you will not believe this to be possible and yet this show delivers. This single show is better than anything Disney has done in the past 10 years.

There will be 12 episodes in each of Andor's first and second seasons. Official runtimes are about 38–50-ish minutes per episode.

The show's only flaw might be the way the episodes have been spread out. Unlike Netflix shows, the entire run wasn't dropped all at once, and Andor's slow burn might have cooled off for viewers in the week between episodes. The show is best enjoyed in binges.

Close to 480 films with at least 20 reviews have achieved a 100% score, with many coming very close. Greta Gerwig's “Lady Bird” had a 100% rating with 196 positive reviews before a critic submitted a negative one, knocking it down to 99%.

Andor contributes to the mega-plot of the Rebellion and the construction - and later destruction - of the Death Star while still telling its own story and fleshing out its characters. It is a relevant and interesting story that feels like it belongs in the Star Wars universe.

Andor is a great show, it's one of the best things Star Wars has put out. But it's a little different. It can be slower in parts, compared to the action-packed movies. But it is really good stuff.

The Mandalorian leans into comedy and camp in a way rarely glimpsed in Andor. It's the same world, but feels wildly different, as in this past episode we see Mando pursued by a pirate lord with leaves and vines for hair. So far, I think it works.

The Empire of Andor is different. Darth Vader and the Death Star are somewhere off-screen—the former unmentioned, the latter also unacknowledged aside from a stray reference to Scarif. The Emperor is remote and voiceless, the unseen spider at the center of a galaxy-wide web.

Is Kleya Princess Leia? ›

While it's understandable for fans to look for a connection between Leia and Kleya, it's unlikely that they're the same person. There's no denying the strange coincidence of someone who resembles Carrie Fisher playing a character named Kleya. However, there's nothing to support that it's anything more than coincidence.

Showrunner Tony Gilroy has confirmed that Andor season 2 will be split into four three-episode installments, each depicting a 12-month period that is important to the development of the Rebel Alliance.

Can I watch Andor without having seen Rogue One or other Star Wars movies or shows? The answer, surprisingly, is yes. While the events of Andor will lead into what happens in Rogue One (following two 12-episode seasons), all that film will give you is knowledge of what's to come.

Schiff was replaced by Rogue One co-writer Gilroy as creator and showrunner in April 2020. Filming took place at Pinewood Studios in London and on location around the United Kingdom, with Neal Scanlan returning from Rogue One to provide practical effects.

Regardless if it was meant as a joke or not, as a reminder, Andor is TV-14. It's meant for older kids and adults. Like the Marvel Cinematic Universe, some content may be inappropriate for children.

Andor and Ahsoka are two of Star Wars' best live-action TV shows thus far, despite their differences in both approach and tone. Andor's inclusion of well-known characters is justified and adds to the overall story. Ahsoka's debuts of familiar animated characters are stellar and true to the original characters.
